Working of Laser Engraver

Laser engraving is the process of using laser machines to mark or engrave on a process. The advantage of using these processes is that it does not involve the use of inks nor does it involve any tools that wear out as no contact is involved. It just requires you to adjust the laser for proper engraving and adjust the intensity.

Demo of laser engraver works

So my building neighbour came to me with a project idea for Valentine’s Day. He wanted to engrave a drawing that he made onto a flask for his girlfriend. I thought it was a nice idea and decided to borrow the Laser engraver at the company workshop for some time. After running into some snags we finally managed to do this.

So our first trouble was when we used the software of the laser engraver. The software did not accept the .svg file that my friend had brought along. When we scanned the drawing there was too much detail, hence we got a file of a huge size. We saved the file in bitmap format finally and got a move on things.

Since I had never done this before, I thought to first try the laser engraver out on another metal. We used a slab of anodized aluminium. Worked fine on the aluminium but I had no idea what material the flask was made of. So we decided to do it anyway.

The result was a fail. The surface of the flask was too reflective and so it kept deflecting the laser beam. Next we tried out putting scotch tape to the surface of the flask which would allow the laser to leave a mark on the surface. We did get some success but it is not exactly what we wanted.
So finally wed decided to engrave on the leather casing that Karl had made while i was tinkering on the laser. We tried out on other pieces of leather before we got into it. And then after seeing the results we engraved the original piece. And that is one we made the perfect gift.

Advantages of Laser Marking Systems

Recently, Laser Marking Systems are more widely used in printing field and laser marking can be applied to several materials, for instance, plastic and rubber, metal and silicon chips. Laser marking is characterized by high flexibility, low cost and can be controlled by computer system. The mark produced on workpiece surface by laser is permanent. Currently, in marking industry, Needham-Laser marking has occupied 60% market, reason for that is following eight advantages:

1. Permanency: Marks will not be degraded due to the environmental factors such as contact, alkaline gas or acid, low or high temperature, etc…

2. Anti-counterfeiting: The marks engraved by laser marking technology cannot be forged or changed easily with strong anti-counterfeiting to certain extent.

3. Non-contacting: Laser marking is made by non-mechanical and marking can be made on irregular or regular surface. The marked workpiece will not produce internal stress.

4. Broad application: Processing means of laser can be applicable for the processing of several metals and non-metal materials like aluminum, copper, iron and wooden products.

5. High engraving precision: The articles engraved by laser marker are in elegant patterns and the width of the smallest line can reach 0.04mm, with lasting, clear and elegant marking.

6. Low operation cost: Marking speed is fast and the cost of laser marker is very much lower from the perspective of operation costs.

7. High processing efficiency: Laser beam controlled by computer can be moved in high speed and marking can be finished in several seconds.

8. Fast development speed: With the combination of computer technology and laser, the user can realize laser printing output by programming through computer and can change the printing design at any time, which replace the traditional module manufacturing process.

Working with Laser Marking Systems has lots of benefits and consistent high quality marking is the bottom line with such systems.

World Class Laser Engraving Machine are available at Affordable Rate

There are many kinds of Laser Engraving Machine, some gadgets are introduced in, and some were designed in China providers. And there are laser device system decreasing system, laser inscribing system and laser device system labeling system. And some gadgets can be used in decreasing and inscribing .So what should we do when we want to buy one laser device system device .The best way to select one laser device system is:

1: Please think about what material you want to process before you buy the Laser Engraving Machine.
We divided the laser device system device into YAG and CO2 laser device system device by the material they are managing .YAG was used in managing steel elements, and CO2 was mainly used in managing non-metal components. Now, CO2 Laser Engraving Machines are most dominant in the markets.

2: Please think about the use of the laser device system device before you buy.
Laser system was divided into laser device system decreasing system, laser inscribing system and laser device system labeling system .Because they are used in different ways.

3: Please consider the perform area before you buy.
Choose the right perform area for you .Please pay attention , bigger perform area does not mean better fantastic .In some cases, the effect of the Laser Engraving Machine is much more extreme when the work surface is bigger , because the power cannot reach such higher ranges. Different types of Industrial laser

Currently Laser Systems are the best option to cut any type of material. Toughest materials require higher powered lasers but for every application in precise cuts and shaping. With such a wide scope of application Laser Systems are utilized for a number of applications with its ability to melt, burn, blow away or vaporization.

The major application for Laser Systems comes in two categories : Cutting and Marking. Marking Laser Systems are the process of using lasers to burn graphics onto surfaces. It can be used to mark Logos , Part-numbers , bar codes, serial numbers, ID matrices and other two dimensional codes. YAG and fiber laser etching, marking and engraving systems are capable of marking on a large number of substrates, including: Stainless Steel, Steel, aluminum, Carbide, Nickel, Titanium, Cast Iron, Chrome, Painted Metal Alloys, Multi-Coated Metals, Plastics, Backlit Buttons, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, PVC, Rubber among
others.

Cutting Laser Systems are used to make cuts by burning , vaporizing and melting. There are only 2 main kinds of laser device treatment that are used for these projects. These are YAG and CO2 ones. The latter can be used for tedious, reducing and inscribing. This type of laser device is developed using Radio Frequency power. CO2 resources are used in commercial reducing of aluminum, document, stainless-steel, titanium, wax, wood, and so on.

Axial circulation resonators generally circulation a certain combination of helium, co2, and nitrogen within a generator at different velocities. Transfer circulation laser treatment can circulate this kind of combination much more slowly, and piece resonators usually have some gas areas that don’t require pressurization. So, each kind of laser cutting equipment may have its benefits and drawbacks.

Latest Laser Etching Machine – Save Time and Reduce Errors

In case you are wondering whether you should buy a laser etching machine then carefully consider your case. The alternative to this is having your etching done manually which is cheaper. However this can be prone to a lot of error and your work could be very slow.

A laser etching machine is a really costly piece of equipment. Also you will required trained professionals to operate the machines which again can have you spending more. But having the Latest Laser Etching Machine will mean that you can do your projects with minimum amount of error. This means that there is very low rework and lesser setbacks and hence your work gets over really fast. Less rework also means that you will be saving on materials so you can say there is a degree of savings that you can achieve in the process.

As far as the operating mechanism goes there is an input mechanism and computer based control to make sure there is a very minimal human error and the precision is maximized. This means they are very reliable to use. The only thing you need to keep in mind while buying the equipment is that you just buy what you need. You shouldn’t have to pay for a high end machine that offers features that you will never use. If you find that a portable machine fits all your needs go for it. The next thing you need to check is the operating system. The chance for manufacturing defects usually show up in a faulty operating system working on the incorrect measurements. This can be easily checked for with a simple demonstration.

Other than that you should be fine. Getting a laser etching machine will cost you but your running costs will be constant.
